The US Grand Prix is a Formula One race that occurs in the United States. The United States Grand Prix has raced on and off since 1908, with the next scheduled version to occur in Austin, Texas starting in 2012 at the Circuit of the Americas. Indianapolis Motor Speedway held the most recent United States Grand Prix in 2007, won by English F1 driver Lewis Hamilton of team McLaren-Mercedes. Other locations that hosted the US Grand Prix include Watkins Glen Speedway in New York, Long Beach, Las Vegas, Detroit, and Dallas, Texas for one year (1984).
The future of F1 racing in the United States will be in Austin, where Formula One has granted rights to race from 2012 through 2021.
