Shell Houston Open Event Guide

What day should I purchase tickets for?

It all depends on how much time you have, but if you want to both follow groups and stick around certain holes, we suggest going to all four days of the tournament. Practice days are more relaxed, while if you just want to be in the thick of the action at the end, you could just get a Sunday pass.

What is there to do while in Houston for the tournament?

Houston is one of the biggest cities in the country, and really does have something for everyone. If you’re bringing kids, the Houston Zoo is top notch as are the other museums in that same area. You can also check out a Houston Astros game if they are in town during the tournament.

Who will be in the field for the Shell Houston Open?

Many of the PGA tour’s top players are in the field annually for the tournament, as evidenced by the big names that have been crowned champion. Hunter Mahan, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Fred Couples have all won since 2003.

Son's birthday wish My 13yr old son, Justin asked to be taken to the Houston Shell Open as his "BIG" present this year for his 13th birthday. He loves watching & playing golf and has always wanted to attend this event. We live in Baytown, Tx and have never been able to get tickets to attend, but this year since it was a gift request we would love to take him. He hopes to play golf in high school, since he loves the game! March 6, 2012
