Liberty is fifth most expensive bowl ticket

The AutoZone Liberty Bowl is the fifth most expensive bowl ticket for the upcoming bowl season, according to a report released by TicketCity, which specializes in tickets for sporting events.
The Liberty Bowl rounds out the top 5, which includes the BCS National Championship, Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Fiesta Bowl. Tickets for the BCS National Championship start at $575, with an average price of $1,195.
TicketCity is reporting the average price for Liberty Bowl tickets at $192.60. At this time last year, tickets were $171. TicketCity also reports ticket prices will start at $175 this year. The game will be played on Jan. 2 at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
The Gaylord Music City Bowl in Nashville has a starting ticket price of $39 with an average cost of $182.92 per ticket.
Pairings for the Liberty Bowl will be announced this weekend. It will feature the champion of Conference USA versus a representative from the SEC.
