New TicketCity Website Changes the way Tickets are Purchased Online
Recently released TicketCity.com features SeatKey proprietary technology allowing users to quickly find the best seats at the best values.
Austin, TX (Marketwire - June 13, 2008) - The secondary ticketing industry is composed of over 800 established brokers. With the majority of brokers listing their tickets online, consumers are inundated with numerous websites to purchase their tickets from. The new TicketCity.com site is designed to provide consumers useful tools to make informed choices when buying tickets. After two weeks of monitoring feedback from clients, the tools have boosted sales and continue to change how tickets are purchased online.
“Since launching the redesigned site traffic to TicketCity.com has increased significantly,” state Rafael Rivas, VP of Sales for TicketCity. “Within two weeks we have seen web sales double compared to last year at this time.”
Two significant advancements on the TicketCity site empower consumers to make more informed choices when buying tickets. TicketCity's proprietary SeatKey technology allows consumers to view a concise cross-section of the most valuable seats listed on the secondary market and the new site features also a large library of ticket buying information. Consumers can compare details such as shipping costs or service charges from top competitors across the ticketing industry.
“We continue to focus on providing our customers a service,” comments Zach Anderson, VP of Marketing for TicketCity. “With a significant amount of confusion surrounding the ticketing industry, we want to give our clients the resources they need to make informed decisions.”
SeatKey technology is comparable to the service a TicketCity sales associate provides. Proprietary to TicketCity, SeatKey is a data mining application that removes the less valuable seats, such as those that have an obstructed view, and displays only the best ticket values available.
“It’s a valuable tool,” commented Randy Cohen, CEO of TicketCity. “Many ticketing sites out there list hundreds or even thousands of tickets for a single event. We have developed SeatKey to scan through those listings and present the best available tickets. These are the tickets with the best view at the best values.”
Some key features that were carried over from TicketCity’s previous website include the transparent checkout, displaying the exact total of a client’s order before requesting any personal information, and free shipping on FedEx 2nd day shipping for domestic orders. Free shipping gives clients additional savings on ticket orders.
Explaining the significance of the transparent checkout, Cohen comments, “Most of our competitors don’t show their service charges until they’ve captured your personal information. We display the entire cost of the order before checkout because we want customers to have all the information. We want consumers to visit TicketCity to learn about the industry and feel confident about their purchase.”
In addition to the release of SeatKey, technology, and the library of ticket buying information, TicketCity will continue to launch tools to enhance the consumer buying experience in the coming weeks.
