TicketCity Reveals Top 25 Hottest College Football Games for Week 3
Average ticket prices for the Top 25 games remain steady as teams define themselves in the polls

Austin, TX (September 12, 2011) – Two weeks into the college football season and many teams are holding steady their positions in the polls. With some strong wins, surprising upsets, and rumored conference shakeups among the Top 25 teams, ticket demand remains high for the third weekend of college football. TicketCity highlights some teams not to be missed and counts down the most popular games of the season based on ticket sales, prices, customer inquiries, and searches on TicketCity.com.

“We’re already seeing high demand for end-of-season games earlier than expected as some fans prepare for future conference shakeups. People are preemptively preparing that they may not get to see some of their favorite rivalry teams play each other in the future, and are wanting to ensure a seat to some historic games,” says TicketCity CEO, Randy Cohen.

With much debate over the Big 12 Conference’s future, anticipation is building for the historic Oklahoma versus Texas game on 10/8. This game is in high demand with the average price on the secondary market at $422. TicketCity currently offers tickets starting at $238. Fans are also snatching up tickets for the 11/24 Texas versus Texas A&M game as some fear this long-standing rivalry may soon be over. TicketCity offers tickets for this high demand game starting at $250.

Thanks to some great defense, LSU stays strong in the AP Poll with the number three spot after their wins over Oregon and Northwestern. The Tigers plan to improve their offense in the next few weeks against number 25 Mississippi State, number 18 West Virginia, and number 16 Florida. For LSU tickets, visit TicketCity.com.

The Auburn Tigers have regained some rankings in the AP Top 25 to the 21st spot. Fans are keeping a close eye to see how the 2010 BCS champions will pull through in the next couple weeks while they prepare for a heavy October with all ranked conference competitors. Tickets available for next week’s Clemson game are starting at $65.

Each week, TicketCity counts down the most popular games of the season, as evidenced by ticket sales, prices, customer inquiries, and search on TicketCity.com. TicketCity will continue to update the hottest games list each Monday. View the comprehensive Top 25 list by visiting the TicketCity.com web site and searching for Top 25.
