In the most anticipated draw of the weekend, the LSU Tigers defended their home turf in Death Valley, defeating the South Carolina Gamecocks 23-21. The win moves LSU up three spots in the AP Top 25 Poll, and inserts them back into the championship conversation. In Dallas, the Oklahoma Sooners annihilated the Texas Longhorns 63-21. The Sooners, once seen out of the BCS picture find themselves back in the Top 10 and talked about as one of the premier one-loss teams in the nation. Morgantown will be the site of a much anticipated matchup between two of the Big12’s top teams as the #17 West Virginia Mountaineers host the #4 Kansas State Wildcats. Geno Smith and the West Virginia offense are still as dangerous as ever, while the Wildcats can put points up with the best of them.
