TicketCity Reveals the Top 25 Hottest College Football Games for Week Four
The Michigan at Ohio State game continues to top the list as two new games make their debut.
Austin, TX (Marketwire – September 18, 2008) – After last weekend’s games, ticket prices changed and rankings among the most in-demand games shuffled. With the Ohio State at USC and Michigan at Notre Dame games over, a few new games debuted this week in the Top 25 list.
The
Michigan at Ohio State games continues to dominate this season’s top tickets holding an average price each week around $750. “If the price of tickets for this game were to fluctuate, it may happen closer to the game. This season it’s unlikely. Both teams are strong and the rivalry stronger. This game is always big but it’s just dominating this season,” said Randy Cohen, CEO of TicketCity.
Two new games making the list this week include Missouri at Nebraska and Purdue at Ohio State. “Both
Missouri and Ohio State are a top 5 team,” commented Rafael Rivas, VP of Sales for TicketCity. “Tickets for higher ranked teams are always in demand and prices tend to only fluctuate in the days before the games.”
Virginia Tech at Nebraska premiered on the first list of the season but failed to make the cut the last two weeks. This week, the game is back with an average ticket price of $284 per ticket. Why are these two unranked teams creating one of the hottest games of the season? “Nebraska has a solid fan base. They’re fans are loyal and Virginia Tech’s fans will travel to see their team especially a team with a strong history,” commented Rafael Rivas, VP of Sales for TicketCity.
TicketCity releases this week's list of the top 25 hottest games of the 2008 regular
college football season based on average ticket price. The list was accumulated by compiling a majority of the available tickets on the secondary market throughout the entire country. The secondary market is comprised of over 800 established ticket brokers and every fan who is listing extra tickets to sell.
