TicketCity Reveals Top 25 Hottest College Football Games for Week 6
The polls have received a startling makeover; however, despite several teams being dropped, tickets are still in demand.
AUSTIN, TX (October 5, 2010) The sixth week of football has begun and after an interesting weekend of games, the plot continues to thicken. The AP polls have altered significantly including no longer ranking USC and Texas; both which have won national championships within the last six years and now sit unranked. In spite of their fall in rankings, several of their matchups still make the top 25 list of the most in-demand games. Also, we see LSU and Nebraska games that move up on our top 25 list. Three LSU games move up significantly on our list after Saturday’s “miracle win” over Tennessee. The October 23rd LSU at Auburn game joins the list at our number 22 spot. Texas A&M is going up against #11 AP-ranked Arkansas this upcoming weekend. Arkansas has been having a rather successful season thus far and nearly won against #1 Alabama the last weekend in September. Both Arkansas and Texas A&M experienced their first loss last weekend and both of them plan to put a stop to that trend on October 9th. After their narrow loss to Washington, USC is struggling to maintain their reputation as a top football program. Meanwhile, UCLA is still riding high from their win against then-ranked Texas on September 25th. USC and UCLA meet head-to-head on December 4th. This game is of particular interest as these two schools are the only major Division 1 football programs that are located within the same city limits. As a result, the rivalry between these two teams is fierce. The winner of this game not only receives bragging rights but they also play for the Victory Bell, which is given to the winner of the game who will then paint it their school color.
