TicketCity Unveils New TV Campaign
Commercials to debut during inaugural TicketCity Bowl on New Year’s Day
AUSTIN, TX (December 30, 2010) –TicketCity, a leader in the secondary ticket industry for more than 20 years and title sponsor of this year’s inaugural TicketCity Bowl, is set to launch a national television advertising campaign in an effort to increase awareness of TicketCity and the value of personalized service the company provides.
The campaign, consisting of three :30 commercials, highlights what makes TicketCity stand out among the growing number of secondary ticketing providers. “People often think the only option for hard-to-find tickets is to fend for themselves online. Our clients continue to tell us our service is what makes the difference,” says Amy Carpenter, Vice President of Marketing at TicketCity. Demonstrating this point, each of the spots open showing a man searching TicketCity.com for tickets to suddenly reveal a friendly, knowledgeable TicketCity representative literally behind the scene ready to assist with seat selection, venue information, and other inquiries.
The spots continue to show the lifeless technology that powers some other ticket companies, relying heavily on their website alone. Carpenter continues, “Our business started 20 years ago and obviously wasn’t based on a website. Our focus then, and still today, is providing personal service to help clients have an unforgettable experience. Nowadays, we just happen to have a website as well.” While the spots showcase the benefit of personal service, they also include a dose of TicketCity’s fun and playful side by showing what that humanness brings in other scenarios, and what might be lacking without it.
The campaign was produced in partnership with Austin, TX-based FUELD Film Co., providing comprehensive creative and production services. The commercials will debut during the inaugural TicketCity Bowl on January 1, 2011, 11am CST on ESPNU and will also be incorporated into current and future sponsorships. The spots will be available for viewing online Monday, January 3, 2011, at TicketCity and Facebook.com/TicketCity.
