Kansas State first fielded a football team in 1893, and aside from some good seasons in the 1920’s and ‘30s, including a conference title in 1934, KState was historically one of the worst programs in college football.  Bill Snyder’s arrival in 1989 changed all that.  Snyder’s tenure would have the Wildcats win more games in 17 seasons than they’d won in 50 years.  The Wildcats would play in 11 bowl games and win 4 Big 12 titles.  Some of the talented players to play at Kansas State include Steve Grogan, Mark Simoneau, Martin Gramatica, and Michael Bishop.
