Jones AT&T Stadium is an outdoor football stadium on the Texas Tech University Campus in Lubbock, Texas. It is exclusively the home of the Texas Tech Red Raider football team. Opened in 1947 as Clifford B. and Audrey Jones Stadium, the arena sat only 29,000 spectators. Two expansions since have raised the seating capacity to 53,000 (with a record attendance of 56,158 in 2006 against the Texas Longhorns). Visitors to Jones AT&T Stadium will be struck by the beautiful old brick entrance façade, which also houses the press box and luxury boxes. The stadium’s one-of-a-kind architecture is truly breathtaking.
Jones AT&T Stadium has exclusively been home to the Texas Tech Red Raider football program, although the stadium could certainly accommodate other events as well. The Red Raiders compete in the ultra-competitive Big 12 conference, and Jones Stadium has provided a wonderful venue for some of the toughest games in the nation to take place. The Jones AT&T Stadium has recently undergone a massive remodel, which added club, press, and suite levels to the beautiful brick building, which serves as the stadiums main entrance. Jones AT&T Stadium has really become one of the finest college football venues in the nation, and should serve the Red Raider team well for years to come.
