Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees - Opening Day Tickets
Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY

April first will be the start of a redemption season for a Yankee team that has the roster to be the best. By any normal standards the 2012 season was far from a failing season as the Pin-stripes went 95-67, won the AL East title and advanced to the ALCS. However, Yankees standards over the years have set the bar high and not winning the World Series will fall short every time. What better way to revitalize that New York passion than with an opening day series against the Boston Red Sox.
The Yankees defense will rely heavily on its stout bullpen as the infield is burdened with health concerns from Jeter, Youkilis, and Teixeira. But with minor setbacks in the starting rotation the 2013 season may be won by outscoring opponents with the bats. While A-Rod remains in limbo at the plate sights may fall on Cano as New York's most important hitter. Newcomer and 20-year-old catching prospect Gary Sanchez will also bring a heavy bat to the lineup as well as some much needed relief behind the plate. Though the overall age of the Yankees seems to be of concern to some, manager Joe Girardi see's otherwise stating that this ball club will get the job done starting with the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium on opening Day.
