The Arizona Diamondbacks are one of the five teams that make up the National League West division of Major League Baseball, along with the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies. The Diamondbacks, or D-Backs as they’re sometimes referred to as, play in Phoenix at Chase Field (formerly Bank One Ballpark). They were introduced into the league the same year the (then) Tampa Bay Devil Rays were—1995.
The team began playing Major League Baseball in 1998, five years after NBA Phoenix Suns owner Jerry Colangelo assembled an ownership group to form the brain trust of what would eventually be the first Major League Baseball to play in Arizona. This group would scout and form the first iterations of the team, including the 2001 edition that won the World Series. It was the quickest any MLB team had won the championship.
The team’s Chase Field is one of the most fan-friendly in the Major Leagues. The first stadium built with a retractable roof, the former Bank One Ballpark has a pool that can be rented out as a suite during games to enjoy those hot summer days at the park! It’s just another way going to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks play ball is one of the best in the game!

Great Place to Watch a Ballgame! Chase Field--formerly the B.O.B.--is a great place to watch a ballgame. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Groups can rent the pool out in right field and combine two of America's favorite pasttimes, swimming and baseball, into one. The Diamondbacks have fallen on hard times in recent seasons, but there remains hope. Arizona is one of the best places in baseball to play and live. It shouldn't be long until the D-Backs are back on top of the baseball world. Diamondback fans can't wait. August 25, 2010
