Great Ballpark, Great Atmosphere I often find that baseball stadiums and their fans reflect the personality of the city very accurately, and Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati is no exception. The stadium is very understated and a great place for families and kids of all ages. There definitely a hint of "red-neck" among the fans, but for the most part everyone is respectful of everyone around them, regardless of their level of intoxication. Even if you wear a shirt supporting the visiting team you will just hear a few comments, all said with a smile, with no malicious intent. We did see the benches clear the last time I attended a game. China resident fan I have lived in China now for 10 years and get the package there to stream and watch the Reds Live and on delay. I love the package as I ran around and in the dugouts with the Reds at Crosley field. My mother worked with them and 25 years later I won the contract to do the masonry work on the Great American Ballpark. I bought tickets online from China and had them sent there for one of the last games of the season hoping since I got them I would be there when they clinced the season. I missed it by 3 days. It was a great time as it was the first time in the stadium sense it was built and finished over 10 years ago. It was a 7000 mile trip to see the Reds and great seats that I took my Daughter and Son to with my Chinese Wife and their boyfriend and girlfriend. Pick the better seats.... I had seats in 133 on Monday, Sept 10, nice seats, but little did I know that the seats in 132, were padded! I was also a wee bit close to the best baseball team in America, so I was pretty happy! Great American Ballpark is a fantastic, open air stadium. Great seats everywhere, great fans too! Reds v. Cubs Great American Ballpark is a wonderful venue at which to catch a game! Even though I am a Cubs fan and the Reds pulled out a victory in the 9th, it was a great day. Easy access and wonderful seats! Food prices are a bit high, but you should know that going in and either "grin and bear it" or bring your own. August 20, 2012
