Where are good places to eat before a Padres game?
San Diego has some great Mexican food. Of the dozens of good options in the area we recommend Las Cuatro Milpas, Albert’s Mexican food, and Ranchos Cocina. If you are looking for barbeque, try Lil’ Piggy’s Bar-B-Q, Grand Ole BBQ, or Phil’s BBQ. For great vegetarian menus check out Cucina Urbana, Evolution Fast Food, or Veg-N-Out. Bertrand At Mister A’s, Savatore’s Cucina Italiana, and Grant Grill are three fine dining restaurants that will not disappoint. If you want to spend pre-game at a sports bar try Barleymash, Nicky Rottens, or Lost & Found Saloon. Other good places in the area are Table 509 Bar & Kitchen, Searsucker, and Basic.
Where is the best place to park at Petco Park?
There are a few good parking options close to Petco Park. Immediately to the west of the stadium are two surface parking lots in-between 6th and 7th Streets. To the southeast of the stadium on either sides of Imperial Avenue at Park are four other surface parking lots that offer the most available parking in the area. To the north of the stadium just south of J Street is another smaller surface parking lot. Farther to the southeast of the stadium, on the east side of Harbor Drive is the convention center parking area, which is sometimes open for Padres parking. If you plan on parking here make sure to double-check hours and restrictions.
Does my child need a ticket to attend the game?
Children below 36 inches tall are allowed to enter Petco Park without a ticket, but must sit on a guardians lap for the duration of the game.
