Texas Rangers Tickets Information and Event Guide

Get the Most Out of Your Tickets: Globe Life Park Event Guide

The Texas Rangers play their home games at Globe Life Park, located in Arlington, Texas. Globe Life Park holds more than 49,000 screaming fans and has a number of amenities for everyone. Younger Texas fans may want to visit the Kid’s Zone by centerfield for interactive games and attractions. For the baseball historians, the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame should be of particular interest. For those looking for an extra special occasion, over 100 luxury suite are available for corporate and private events. The ballpark is full for most weekend series, particularly during the summer months. Paid parking is readily available just outside the stadium.

From downtown Dallas, it takes just over 20 minutes to get to Globe Life Park, depending on traffic. Construction or congestion on I30 can increase that time. We recommend heading to the ballpark 1 to 1.5 hours prior to first pitch to allow time for traffic & parking. Cash parking lots are located just outside the ballpark. General parking typically costs $15.00 per game. There is also a limited supply of valet parking spots, which cost $40.00 or more per game.

There is no one answer to which are the best seats, because everyone prefers something different. At Globe Life Park the Lower Infield seats and Lexus Club seats provide some of nicest views. The Outfield Plaza seats near Greene’s Hill offer a fun, affordable view of the action. Seats down the 1st baseline get shade first during late afternoon or evening games. And, in case you want to get up close to the team, the Texas Rangers’ dugout is on the first base line in front of sections 30-36.

Rangers games are great for families too! Children under 36 inches tall may be admitted free of charge, but must sit in an adult’s lap during the game. Section 335 is the designated no alcohol section, making it an ideal place for a family-friendly event.

When considering the best time to arrive, keep in mind that there are some great dining options right near the stadium. On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is located 3 minutes from the ballpark. In Arlington, Pappasito’s Cantina and Plucker’s Wing Bar on Bagpiper are both fun place to eat & grab a cold drink. Once inside, try the Captain Morgan Club for best variety of food. Ryan’s Express offers the best burgers.

Tickets You Want: Rangers Games You Can't Miss

After a disappointing conclusion to their 2013 season, the Rangers are looking to rebound with a strong playoff run in 2014. If it’s big games you’re after, you could also check out Red Sox at Rangers from Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11. If you want to check out another powerhouse series, the Rangers host the Yankees from Monday, July 28 through Wednesday, July 30. These series will both be hugely entertaining, but the Ranger rivalries will be the hottest tickets this year.

The Rangers and Angels are AL West rivals who annually battle each other to win the division. Over the past fifteen years, the two squads have won the AL West 9 times. The rivalry has intensified recently as a couple prominent former-Rangers, CJ Wilson and Josh Hamilton, signed free-agent contracts with the Angels. The verbal sparring and hard-fought battles on the field have made this into one of the top rivalries in baseball. The Rangers hose the Angels Thursday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12 in an exciting four-game series.

The series between the Rangers and Astros have been dubbed the Lone State Series or Silver Boot Series as the cities of Dallas and Houston have a longstanding rivalry. As two of the biggest cities in Texas, it’s only natural that their representative ball clubs now both compete in the American League West division. Their first series at home starts Friday, April 11 and runs through Sunday, April 13.

After some quiet early years in Arlington, the Rangers were in the fixture in the postseason during the late 1990’s and again today. The Rangers have twice played in the World Series and came within one strike of winning in 2011. The Rangers have won the AL West a handful of times and earned a wild card berth to the postseason in 2012. Check back in late September for postseason tickets.
