Chicago Bulls Tickets Information

The Bulls joined the NBA as an expansion team in the 1966-67 season. Chicago wasted no time making the playoffs, becoming one of the most successful expansion franchises in NBA history in making the playoffs eight of their first nine seasons. Led by Jerry Sloan, the early Chicago teams were known for their stingy defense, helping the team reach the playoffs time and again. After a fast start, the Bulls struggled for a number of years before 1984. With the third pick in that draft, the Chicago Bulls’ trajectory would forever be changed, as the team selected a 6-foot-6 guard out of North Carolina. Michael Jordan immediately established himself as the Bull’s best player, leading the team in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals as a rookie. To help their star, the Bulls built up a supporting cast almost as great as Jordan himself, including the likes of Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant and Bill Cartwright. The missing piece was finally in place when Phil Jackson was named the team’s new head coach. Jackson and Jordan teamed up to win the franchise’s only six championships in an eight-season span from 1990-91 to 1997-98. Chicago has retired four numbers and honored two other coaches and general managers in the team’s history. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for Chicago Bulls basketball tickets.

2015 Bulls Season Preview

The 2013-14 NBA season was supposed to be the return of superstar Derrick Rose for the Chicago Bulls. But only two months into the season, Derrick Rose suffered another knee injury that would require surgery and keep him out for the rest of the season. The Bulls rallied to still make the playoffs, but without Rose, the Chicago Bulls were ousted in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The Chicago Bulls made a couple of major moves in the offseason and come into the 2014-15 NBA season with high expectations. The Bulls signed free agent Pau Gasol to come in and add extra scoring potential to their front court. Chicago also welcomed rookie Doug McDermott, who should have an immediate impact for the Bulls with his stellar outside shooting. Point guard D.J. Augustin left Chicago, but will be replaced by swingman Aaron Brooks, and a returning Derrick Rose. Rose looked strong this summer in international play and is as close to the old Derrick Rose as he has been in the last 3 years. Still, how far the Chicago Bulls will go in the playoffs depends mightily on the knees of Derrick Rose.
