Dallas Mavericks Tickets Information

The Mavericks joined the NBA as an expansion team in 1980, and it didn't take the Mavs very long to build a contender. Dallas made the playoffs and recorded a winning season for the first time in 1983-84. The Mavericks continued to improve every year through the 1988-89 season, when the team fell just a game short of reaching the NBA finals, losing to the juggernaut Los Angeles Lakers for the third time in five years. Through the entirety of the 1990s the Mavericks were the basement dwellers of the NBA, nearly setting the record for worst season on multiple occasions. Dallas finally made the playoffs again in the 2000-2001 season with a core of Michael Finley, Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash. Dallas missed the playoffs just twice from 2001 to 2012. After reaching the NBA finals in 2006 only to be thwarted by the Miami Heat, the Mavericks won their first title in 2011. Led by Nowitzki, Jason Terry, Shawn Marion, Tyson Chandler and Jason Kidd—his second stint with the team—Dallas bested the Heat and their big three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in their first season together. Dallas has retired the numbers of two players—Mark Aguirre and Brad Davis. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for Dallas Mavericks basketball tickets.

2015 Mavericks Season Preview

The Dallas Mavericks had an improved season in 2013. After missing the playoffs for the first time since 2000, the Mavericks came into 2012 with a revamped roster and finished with 49 wins, which was good enough for 8th in the Western Conference. Dallas went on to push the eventual champion San Antonio Spurs to 7 games in the NBA playoffs and almost pulled off one of the biggest upsets in playoff history.

In the off season the Mavericks made major roster moves and come into the 2014 NBA season with a significant improvement in talent. The Mavericks brought back Tyson Chandler, who was one of the corner pieces of their 2010 NBA championship team, and who is still one of the best defensive centers in the NBA. Dallas also signed forward Chandler Parsons away from the Houston Rockets, and he looks to team up with Dirk Nowitzki in one of the most dangerous front courts in basketball. Other newcomers are veterans Richard Jefferson, Jameer Nelson, and Raymond Felton. The 2014-15 Dallas Mavericks look to be one of the most talented teams in the NBA’s Western Conference and should have a great opportunity to push for one of the West’s top 4 playoff seeds.

If you are in Dallas you have to try the southern comfort food. Ellen's Southern Kitchen and Stampede 66 are in downtown Dallas and will not disappoint. Best Experience yet I had a last minute decision on where to take my date as our schedules kept changing and wanted to make an impact. I searched on other sites that I had used in the past but this was my 1st time using ticket city. I downloaded just about every ticket app to get the best seats at a reasonable price. I have to tell you it was looking bleak until I saw two tickets on Ticket City only 3 rows behind the basket for less than most seats were going for in the 200 levels. I thought it was too good to be true but once the purchase went through and received the download of tickets to print, it was the easiest as well as best experience I have had purchasing tickets yet. The night & experience was amazing. Ticket City came through in the clutch and hit the winning buzzer beater. Thank you Ticket City!!! March 4, 2015
Night to remember! I bought Dallas Mavericks tickets for my cousin's 20th birthday. I thought it was a good idea since we've never been to an NBA game. I'm pleased to say that we both enjoyed ourselves that night. Not only was it a good game, it was one fun night to remember. January 27, 2015

Goosebumps on your arms experience I went to the Dallas Mavericks game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Before the game they had a championship ring ceremony for the defending NBA Champions. Watching the video they had and seeing the players receive their rings gave me goosebumps all up my arms. I was glad I ordered from ticketcity. January 27, 2012
