2013 Golden State Warriors Season Preview

Second place in the Pacific Division and a first-round win over the #3 seed Denver Nuggets in the playoffs has the Warriors and their fans looking forward to the 2013-14 season like never before. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson proved to the world they were two of the NBA’s most elite shooters, and head coach Mark Jackson has the additions of Seth Curry, Andre Iguodala and Jermaine O’Neal to try to put together and even better season this go-around. Andrew Bogut could be the missing piece of the puzzle, because when the big man is healthy he takes up a lot of space and bothers anyone trying to shoot near the paint. It’s a big if though, as Bogut has missed over 60% of the Warriors games the last two seasons. The potential is now in place for Golden State to bring a big-time winner to Oakland.

2012 Golden State Warriors Season Preview

Along with Oklahoma City, the Golden State Warriors are one of the more compelling young teams in the league. Specifically, the team’s backcourt is especially wondrous with Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis handling the rock and moving teammates into space. As a testament to the team’s amazing offense, the Warriors ranked seventh in both assists and points per game. Unfortunately, the team’s defense was a bit more porous, allowing a hefty 105.7 points per game. For the Warriors to go far, they’re going to need the big men—specifically center David Lee, and forwards Dorell Wright and Reggie Williams—to come through in the clutch.

2011 Golden State Warriors Season Preview

The Golden State Warriors should once again be an exciting team in the 2009-2010 NBA season. Head Coach Don Nelson has a roster stocked with athletic talent; the question is whether he can put the pieces together to get the Warriors back in the playoffs. Monta Ellis and Corey Maggette should help lead the Warriors offensive attack. If they can get Golden State playing up to their potential, then the Warriors should be one of the eight teams in the Western Conference playoffs.

2010 Golden State Warriors Season Preview

The Golden State Warriors are finally getting the ball rolling in Oakland. The Warriors are coming off two winning seasons, and are looking to take to the playoffs this season. With three new recruits in Corey Maggette, Marcus Williams, and Ronnie Turiaf, the Warriors are adding some potentially dangerous defense to their team. A game at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California should prove to be a wild and fast paced experience you won’t want to miss.
