LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
The Los Angeles Clippers have enjoyed only a few moments in the sun during the postseason. Still, while the Clippers have made four playoff appearances during their entire history, a number of big time players and coaches have donned the team's red, white and blue. In fact, the Clippers enjoyed stellar play from Hall of Famers Dominique Wilkins and Bill Walton, but both were in the twilight of their careers when they joined the franchise and couldn't muster significant postseason success.
The Clippers' first playoff run occurred during the 1991-92 season. That when the squad was led by Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown and boasted the high intensity play of Danny Manning and Ron Harper. The team went up against the Utah Jazz in the first round, but fell quickly in five games.
After losing to the Rockets in five games during the 1992-93 postseason and being swept in the 1997 playoffs by the Utah Jazz, Clippers fans would have to wait until the 2005-06 season to return to the NBA's Big Dance. The Clippers won their first playoff series against the Denver Nuggets in 5 games and would make it to the next round, but the team unfortunately fell in a gallant effort to the Phoenix Suns in a pivotal seventh game.
