Cleveland Cavaliers 4 5 1 1
RoundBallRoadtrip.com at Quicken Loans Arena Without LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers are simply not the same team. However, from the perspective of this NBA fan, hanging out in Cleveland among some of the league’s best fans is always a good time. I was in town as part of my Roundball Roadtrip, my personal crusade to see a game in every NBA arena in league, and although the Cleveland Cavaliers are not the elite team they once were, the experience of watching some NBA basketball at Quicken Loans Arena is still incredible. Quicken Loans Arena is a modern facility with some solid concessions and great fan amenities. The crowd still enthusiastically supports their hometown Cavaliers and ownership has maintained a commitment to winning that will eventually take this team back to the playoffs. Quicken Loans Arena is located in the historic Gateway neighborhood which caters specifically to Cleveland sports fans with a variety of great restaurants and pubs all within walking distance of Quicken Loans Arena and Progressive Field. I like the area around East 4th Street, which is located right across the parking lot from the arena. East 4th Street is an exceptional place to catch a pre-game meal or to bounce from pubs to pubs after the game. The neighborhood is safe and offers a lot of variety for fans looking to spend an evening downtown. CLEVELAND CAVELIERS
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been a volatile team throughout much of its history. Still, the squad has appeared in the playoffs 18 times and gave it their all at the conference finals during the 1976, 1992, 2007 and 2009 seasons. They also finally made it to the big dance in 2007 only to fall to the Boston Celtics in seven games.

While much of the Cavaliers' early success rode on the backs of aging veterans and young talent to reach the playoffs in the late '70s and early '80s, it wasn't until the team drafted high school phenom LeBron James that they really began to make noise in the NBA postseason. After being overtaken in the second round to the Detroit Pistons in the 2005-06 season, the Cavaliers made it to the NBA Finals during the 2006-07 season. However, they were overwhelmed by the San Antonio Spurs in a series sweep.
After a down year in the 2007-2008 season, the Cavs posted the best record in the NBA during the 2008-09 season and entered the playoffs as the number 1 seed. After making quick work of the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks, the Cavs fell to the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals. The team signed star center Shaquille O'Neal before the 2009-10 season and returned to the playoffs once again. It was then that the club ran into the "Big Three" of the Boston Celtics and lost in five games, but they are likely looking forward to making some noise in the paint and extending their postseason run next year.
