Indiana Pacers Season Preview History

Indiana Pacers 2012 NBA Season Preview:
The Indiana Pacers aren’t just thinking playoffs this year, but making a major push for the Central Conference title. The Pacers have a fantastic core to make it happen, with their fantastic (but oft-injured) forward Danny Granger leading the way; Center Roy Hibbert manning the boards; and point guard Darren Collison leading the team in assists. Add the newly acquired David West, and their size will be a huge asset against the Central-leading Chicago Bulls—last year they ranked fifth in the league with 43.5 rebounds a game.

Indiana Pacers 2011 NBA Season:
The Indiana Pacers finished the 2011 NBA Season with a 37-45 record, and lost to the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

2010-2011 Indiana Pacers NBA Preview:
For the last several years, the Indiana Pacers have been in rebuilding mode. The team has not made the playoffs since the 2005-2006 season, and fans are beginning to wonder when to expect a return to the impressive consistency that typified the team throughout much of the '90s and early 2000s. This year may be the year, as the Pacers are stacked with a wealth of young talent and look poised to return to the postseason.

Indiana will be led by Danny Granger who, despite dealing with injuries, put together a solid campaign last year. Granger led the team with 24.1 points a game, and if he can stay healthy should be one of the premiere scorers in the NBA. Point guard A.J. Price had an impressive rookie season, and the Pacers will be expecting just as much out of the second year man out of Connecticut.

Indiana has a solid defense, which is anchored by shooting guard Dahntay Jones. The pacers also added stalwart defender Darren Collison during the offseason, and center Roy Hibbert should be a force down low. With two rookies who can make a difference - Lance Stephenson and Paul George - the Pacers should be able to meet their expectations if they can stay healthy and improve on rebounding.

2009-2010 Indiana Pacers NBA Preview:
The Indiana Pacers head into the 2009-2010 season with a talented young roster hopes to return to the Eastern Conference playoffs. Pacers Head Coach Jim O'Brien has talented athletes all across his roster. Indiana will be lead by SF Danny Granger, PG TJ Ford and PF Troy Murphy. Mix in young talent like Tyler Hansborough and Roy Hibbert and the Pacers start to look like an emerging talent in the East. If Indiana gets all of their stars on the same page, then look for the Pacers to make a deep run into the playoffs in the very near future.

2008-2009 Indiana Pacers NBA Preview:
The Indiana Pacers are perhaps the NBA team with the least certain future. After two seasons without qualifying for the playoffs, the Pacers organization has made a number of changes to rebuild the team to its past status as a championship contender. Who can forget the success the team had when led by Reggie Miller, who once famously scored 8 points in less than 9 seconds against the Knicks in the 1995 playoffs. Pacers fans hope that the trade of Jermaine O'Neal for several Raptors players will help to rebuild the team to reclaim past glory. Attending a home game at the Conseco Fieldhouse is sure to give fans an exciting glimpse into the future of Indiana Pacers basketball.
