ORLANDO MAGIC EXPERIENCE:
The Orlando Magic is in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association.  The Orlando Magic were added to the NBA as an expansion team in 1989.  The Magic struggled during their first years in the NBA until 1992 when the team drafted Shaquille O’Neal from LSU and then traded their draft pick the following year to acquire Anfernee Hardaway.  Penny and Shaq made the Magic a dominant team in the NBA in the 1990’s, leading the team to the NBA finals in 1995.  Since Shaq’s departure the team has struggled to be consistent, but hopes to turn things around with their current lineup.

The early 2000's ushered in Tracy McGrady and promised change.  With McGrady and Grant Hill together, the Magic were supposed to be one of the contenders for the Finals.  However, Orlando could not keep its pace despite posting consecutive winning seasons, and would not go furter than the second round in the playoffs.  In 2004, McGrady was traded along with several other Magic players for several players from the Houston Rockets squad.  It remains to be seen when or where the Magic will strike, and how hard they will drive to the hoop.
