Washington Wizards Season Preview History

2010-2011 Washington Wizards NBA Preview:
The Washington Wizards stumbled to a dismal 26-56 finish last year, and although everything went wrong for them during the season, they were lucky enough to get the first pick in the NBA Draft. The Wizards are looking to rebound with a group of talented young players and return to the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

The Wizards drafted Kentucky guard John Wall with the first pick, and if he's any bit as dynamic as he was for the Wildcats, he should be a good fit in Washington. Troubled shooting guard Gilbert Arenas is back as well, and if he can stay healthy and avoid any of the locker-room issues that have dogged him in recent years, he can play up to his potential.

In the frontcourt, 6-foot-11 Andray Blatche had a break out season a year ago when he averaged more than 14 points a game, and stepped it up while Arenas was suspended. Joining Blatche is Nick Young, who possesses a wealth of athleticism and can be a go-to scorer. Washington also has considerable depth at center, as JaVale Mcgee, Hilton Armstrong and rookie Hamady Ndiaye are all solid players.

2009-2010 Washington Wizards NBA Preview:

Washington Wizards fans have good reason for hope heading into the 2009-2010 NBA season. The Wizards finished last in the Eastern Conference a year ago, but have all of the pieces to make a run at the playoffs. Washington is led by stars Gilbert Arenas and Antawn Jamison. If those two stay healthy, then expect the Wizards to be one of the top eight teams in the East and grab a '09-'10 playoff spot.

2008-2009 Washington Wizards NBA Preview:
The Washington Wizards are one of the best shooting and scoring teams in the NBA. The "Big Three" of Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler, and Antawn Jamison are back to drive their opponents mad from the perimeter. Watching a Wizards game at the Verizon Center in downtown Washington D.C. is an experience you won’t soon forget.
