GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS EXPERIENCE:
The Golden State Warriors franchise originally began on the other side of the country in Philadelphia and won the 1946-47 Basketball Association of America championship after being led by small forward Joe Fulks throughout the season. The team remained competitive throughout the latter end of the decade and is one of last remaining charter members of the NBA.
The Warriors put a cadre of Hall of Famers on the court during the 1950s and won the NBA championship during the 1955-56 season behind the strength of Paul Arizin, Michael Bryson and Neil Johnston. The Warriors also made waves in 1959 when they signed Wilt "the Stilt" Chamberlain, who proceeded to break scoring records throughout the season. Chamberlain played one of the best basketball games ever during 1962, when he put up 100 points against the New York Knicks, a record that stills stands today.
In 1962, the West Coast was in dire need of basketball teams, so the team relocated to San Francisco where they were dubbed the San Francisco Warriors. The ball club reached the Finals in 1964, but lost to the unstoppable Celtics. After trading Wilt Chamberlain to Philadelphia during the 1964-65 season, the Warriors experienced some middling seasons and lost the 1967 championship to the 76ers. The 1970-71 season was the last year that the Warriors played in San Francisco, and the team changed its name to the Golden State Warriors the following year.
The shift to Oakland and the Golden State moniker led to success almost instantly. The Warriors made the playoffs every year between 1971 to 1977 and beat the heavily favored Washington Bullets for the NBA title in 1974-75. The team was coached by Alvin Attles and featured such stars as Rick Barry, Jamaal Wilkes and Phil Smith.
The Golden State Warriors have become a force in the Western Conference and have been in the thick of the playoff hunt throughout the 2000s. With a rich history and a dedicated fanbase, the Warriors have a solid foundation to reclaim their past glory as a serious contender in the Western Conference.

Amazing Service and quick problem solving! I've ordered 2 sets of tickets and the first time, my tickets had been lost in the mail but as soon as I contacted ticketcity, one of their representatives helped us out personally and we made it to the game on time. The second order we've already received about a month in advanced. Ticketcity is by far my favorite website to purchase tickets online. March 15, 2012
