GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
The Golden State Warriors have experienced extreme highs and lows throughout their history, but they can hang their hat on the team's lone NBA title in 1975. The ball club has made the playoffs 16 times, won four division championships and reached the NBA Finals on three separate occasions. The Hall of Fame is also home to a number of players who once wore the squad's signature blue and gold colors, such as Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry Lucas, Chris Mullin, Robert Parish and Tom Gola.
The franchise's golden age began in the late '60s and continued through the mid '70s, when the team made numerous playoff appearances and won their only title behind the strong play of forward Rick Barry, guard Nate Thurmond and forward Keith Wilkes. It was during this match that The Warriors toppled the Washington Bullets in four games in one of the most one-sided championship series in NBA history.
The team's most recent playoff appearance occurred in 2007, when they upset the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks and shocked the sports world. The Warriors' Cinderella run in the playoffs ended in the next round to the Utah Jazz, who handily beat the squad in five games.
