Phoenix Suns Ticket Information

The Phoenix Suns joined the NBA for the 1968-69 season, and almost immediately experienced success. After winning the rights to ABA star Connie Hawkins, the Suns propelled themselves into the playoffs just their second season in the league. Though the team put together some good seasons in between, the Suns didn’t return to the playoffs until the 1975-76 season, when Phoenix romped all the way to the NBA Finals before falling just short against the Boston Celtics. Through the rest of the 1970s and into the 1980s the Suns remained one of the NBA’s elite teams, making eight straight playoff appearances, but never would capture the franchise’s first NBA title. In the late 1980s the Suns again became a perennial threat. Phoenix made the playoffs 13 consecutive seasons, highlighted by a run to the finals in 1993. Seven Suns scored in double figures that season, led by Charles Barkley, Dan Majerle, and Kevin Johnson, but Phoenix couldn’t knock off Michael Jordan’s Bulls. In the 2000s the Suns again threatened to be tops in the NBA with a strong core of Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion, but today Phoenix is still without an NBA title. The Suns have retired nine players’ numbers over the course of their history. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for Phoenix Suns basketball tickets.

2014 Suns Season Preview

It’s a whole new look for the Phoenix Suns going into the 2013-14 Season, and a more youthful team has given fans a breath of fresh air as they try to get past the 25-57 record of last year. The Suns have added Eric Bledsoe and Gerald Green while drafting Alex Len and Archie Goodwin in the first round. They severed ties with problem-child Michael Beasley, Jermaine O’Neal, Luis Scola and Jared Dudley as well.

The Suns open up the season at home against the Utah Jazz on Nov. 1 before hitting the road for games against the Thunder, Pelicans and Spurs. Other key home games will be vs. Dallas on Dec. 21, vs. the Lakers on Dec. 23 and vs. Miami on Feb. 11.

Phoenix Suns Rivals

Suns vs. Spurs

With over 8 playoff meetings dating back to the first round of the 1992 playoffs, these two franchises have established themselves as one of the better rivalries in the NBA. Stars such as a David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Kevin Johnson, and Steve Nash have participated in this rivalry. With the Suns and Spurs constantly meeting in the playoffs, this rivalry has shown no signs of slowing down.

Suns vs. Lakers

Suns vs. Lakers games have been heated at times, but it has also evolved into one of the better matchups in the NBA over the years. A highlight of this rivalry came when the teams met in the 2010 Western Conference Finals. Trash-talk and hard fouls have also been a part of this rivalry and has featured such stars as Charles Barkley, Steve Nash, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kobe Bryant.

Suns vs. Mavericks

Often considered one of the best rivalries in the league during the mid-2000s, these two teams had many epic battles as they both fought for Western Conference supremacy. The rivalry became bitter when start Steve Nash departed Dallas for the Suns. With both teams in contention on a yearly basis, the rivalry continues to only get better.

Phoenix Suns Event Guide

What time do gates open prior to tipoff for a Suns game?

Doors typically open 90 minutes before game time. Getting to the arena early lets you miss a lot of the lines at the door, and allows you to soak in the atmosphere before the game, grab some nachos and watch your favorite Suns players shoot around.

Where are some good places to eat before a Suns game?

Come basketball season Phoenix erupts with basketball fever. We recommend having your pre-game meal with lots of other Suns fans. Majerie’s Sports Grill is named after and owned by one of the most beloved Suns players of all time and has a menu to suite just about everyone. Another great option is Coach & Willie’s. It is right across the street from US Airways Center and is usually packed with Suns fans. If you are looking for a trendier place, try The Arrogant Butcher. It close to the arena, has a casual atmosphere, and great food. For a more upscale dining experience, try the Compass Room at the Hyatt Regency. It has an unbelievable view of downtown Phoenix and is a truly unique way to relax before game time.

Where is the best place to park at US Airways Center?

There is one large parking garage just to the west of the arena, but it fills up quickly and we recommend purchasing a parking pass if you want to guarantee yourself a spot in this convenient location. For other parking options try looking in-between E Van Buren Street and E Washington Street. There are plenty of parking places in that area, and most of them are reasonably priced. Avoid going to the south of the stadium as the majority of the parking opportunities are directly north to northwest of US Airways Center.
