DENVER NUGGETS EXPERIENCE:
The Denver Nuggets play in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA).  The Denver Nuggets were formed in 1967 as the Denver Rockets, changing to the Denver Nuggets two years before joining the NBA in 1976.  The Nuggets have been a perennial playoff team throughout their history, but have never made it to the NBA Finals (they did make an ABA finals appearance in 1976).  Denver was known as a scoring team throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, but never managed to combine that with strong defensive play. 

The Nuggets have always been a high scoring program, racking up more than most but with the detriment of lack of defense.  In 2008, the Nuggets scored 168 points to defeat the Seattle SuperSonics 168-116.  This was the third highest-scoring game in NBA history.  This came ten years after the Nuggets almost recorded the lowest wins in an 82-game season back in 1997-98.  Though the Nuggets have flip-flopped in their performance over the years, the program is still one of the most exciting to watch in the nation.

The Denver Nuggets play their home games at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.  The Pepsi Center holds over 19,000 spectators for Nuggets games.  The arena is located in downtown Denver and is designed for easy access in the center of the city.
