Cleveland Browns Season Preview History

2010 Cleveland Browns Football Preview:
It has been a long time since fans of the Cleveland Browns have had anything to celebrate. Aside from a playoff appearance in 2002, the Browns have been woefully under-productive for the last decade and have recently been hard-pressed to find a consistent quarterback. This year, coach Eric Mangini finds himself in the hot seat once again.

The offense changed things up during the offseason, trading away quarterbacks Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn and installing former Panther signal caller Jake Delhomme under center. Delhomme may be a nice addition if he can cut down on his penchant for throwing interceptions, and he'll have a number of dynamic receivers including speedy return man Josh Cribbs and Brian Robiskie.

The Browns defense struggled last year as they ranked toward the bottom of the league in both run and pass defense. The squad has an inexperienced linebacking corps that will need leadership from veteran Scott Fujita to be successful. The defensive line may be an issue as well, as the returning starters only combined for five sacks in 2009.

Although fans would like to see a change in Cleveland, chances are it will not come this year, as their division is too good and there are too many uncertainties on offense and defense.

2009 Cleveland Browns Football Preview:
Will this finally be the years the Cleveland Browns reward their fans with a trip deep into the playoffs? Browns fans must be hopeful after watching long-suffering Arizona Cardinal fans follow their team to the Super Bowl. The hope of those Cleveland fans will rest squarely on the shoulder of their 2009 quarterback Brady Quinn...or will it be Derek Anderson? Quinn is the most likely opening day starter, but with the injury history of both players there is no telling who will be the QB that ends the season. The Browns will try to ride a strong running game, led by Jamal Lewis, and a surprisingly salty defense a long ways in 2009. Maybe even all the way to the big game in Miami, Florida.

2008 Cleveland Browns Football Preview:
The Cleveland Browns have surprised many in the NFL recently with a 2007 run at the AFC Wild Card slot. They've had surprising play as well from quarterback Derek Anderson who somehow has managed to turn the Browns offense into a formidable machine. Jamal Lewis looks like he has a future with the team at running back. The Browns could very well be a surprise team to beat in the AFC next season. You can bet that a game this coming season at Browns Stadium will be an exciting experience for any football fan.
