Houston Texan Barbecue is not to be Missed In terms of NFL Tailgate barbecue, nobody beats the blacktop culinarians in Houston, Texas. I’ve been to Houston twice as part of my Quest for 31 and the variety of meats and preparatory processes that you’ll find in the parking lot are unmatched in the NFL. Houston Texan fans smoke their meat, they slow cook it, and rotisserie roast it. Employing a variety of homemade dry rubs, marinades, and barbecue sauces, they put meat to flame like no other fan base in the nation, firmly establishing that signature Texas barbecue that you’ve always heard about. Most folks bring in full sized grills and many of them trailer in industrial sized smokers for a full day of Texan Tailgating. If you’re just trying to show up with a hibachi grill and some hot dogs, you’d best reconsider. Reliant Stadium itself is a state of the art facility boasting an indoor natural grass field. There’s plenty of room in the seats, the concessions are terrific, and the fans are incredible. It’s easily one of my favorite places to watch a football game. September 11, 2010
Texans vs Ravens Monday Night Football 12-13-10 First off, thank you TicketCity for one of the top 5 funnest times I've ever had in my life. Even though the Texans did not come out victorious, it was still an adrenaline filled event that I will never forget. It was one of those games that my brothers and I will be talking about for years. The crowd participation is awesome both home and visiting fans. Now for tailgating.... if you're a Texans fan and have never been to a home game I cannot stress this enough... GO!!!!! You will not regret it nor forget it. The fans are amazing, the food is incredible, and above all it feels like home. I have never felt more welcome anywhere in the world than like I did at a Texans home game. This was my 2nd game, the first was when the Titans came to town, and I'll also be at the home game against the Jaguars. I plan on going to every home game from now on, I was instantly hooked. A Memorable Experience Ticket City hooked me up with an amazing seat for an historic NFL game. This Houston crowd was electric, having to wait 20 years for this moment. I got a dream seat that I never would have gotten otherwise. Thanks for making it happen. January 10, 2012
