2011 MIAMI DOLPHINS PREVIEW:
The 2010 Miami Dolphins were hard to figure out. They would show flashes of greatness but at other times find it difficult to score. Head coach Tony Sporano will be looking to turn things around and return the Dolphins to relevance in the super-competitive AFC East.
The Dolphins' success will rely heavily on whether they can get consistent play from quarterback Chad Henne. There will be added pressure on the former Michigan signal caller as the team's top two running backs, Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are both gone. Reggie Bush has signed on to replace them, and will be shouldering much of the running duties. Luckily, Henne will have one of the league’s best targets in Brandon Marshall to throw to.
The Dolphins defense was exposed at times last year as being soft, especially in a 38-7 blowout against the New England Patriots toward the end of the season. However, the squad was young and inexperienced last year and there are plenty of players who have a tremendous upside, including cornerback Sean Smith and linebacker Koa Mosi. If an untested defensive line can step up, the Dolphins can compete.
