2010 SAN DIEGO CHARGERS REVIEW:
The San Diego Chargers have been tough to pin down over the last several seasons. They enter each season with great potential, but they never reach their ultimate goal—the Super Bowl. The Chargers once again enter the year as a solid team, but whether they can reach the postseason is up in the air.
Despite missing out on the playoffs last season, San Diego had the top-ranked offense in the league. Quarterback Philip Rivers is one of the true gunslingers in the NFL, and will once again have a number of talented players surrounding him. Vincent Jackson mercifully ended his holdout, so he will line up opposite Malcom Floyd and catch bullets along with tight end Antonio Gates.
The Chargers defense will likely have to step it up this season, as it was the squad that let the team down last year. The secondary should be improved thanks in large part to the acquisition of Bob Sanders who, if healthy, is a game changer. The front seven is still a question mark; however, as linebacker Takeo Spikes is the only one among them who has a wealth of experience.
