New York Jets Tickets Information

The Jets have fallen on tough times of late, but they have a rich history dating back to its founding in 1959. In 1965 the Jets started an era of success when quarterback Joe Namath made his debut, winning the American Football League's Rookie of the Year. In 1967, the Jets recorded their first winning season in team history. In 1969, the Jets continued their success and defeated the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III. After the Super Bowl, the Jets' franchise went into a slump, failing to make the playoffs again until the 1981 season, when they fell to the Buffalo Bills in the Wild-Card round of the playoffs. The Jets would end up making the playoffs four times in the 1980's. New York rose to prominence again in 1997 when Bill Parcells became the head coach, leading the Jets to their first winning season in nine years, then back to the playoffs in 1998. New York most recently made the playoffs in the 2009 and 2010 seasons, winning a combined four games over the two postseasons. The Jets have five retired five numbers, but have more players in their Ring of Honor. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for New York Jets tickets.

2014 Jets Season Preview

The Jets were not expected to have a great season in 2013, but somehow found their way to an 8-8 finish, saving Rex Ryan’s job and giving them a better outlook this upcoming season. The Jets have made some big moves in the offseason, bringing in Michael Vick to compete with Geno Smith, among others. Vick is one of the best backups in the league if he doesn’t win the job right off, so expect Smith to have a short leash. Also brought in was Chris Johnson, the former 2,000 yard rusher from Tennessee and Eric Decker, who has been great the last two season in Denver. The Jets picked up S Calvin Pryor from Louisville in the first round of the draft, then grabbed TE Jace Amaro from Texas Tech. Amaro broke records in college football for receptions as a tight end and could be the big target Smith needs after Santonio Holmes’s departure. The Jets will begin the season at home against the Raiders before heading off to Lambeau for a Week 2 contest with the Packers. Other big home games include games with the Bears, Broncos, Steelers and Patriots.

Amazing Atmosphere The Jets, the fans, and the stadium were rocking during their game against the Denver Broncos. The team is subpar to the football world but you would never believe it by being apart of the action in the stands. The stadium is second too none, and the pride from the fans is amazing. We took a random road trip to New York, decided to hit a Jets game and couldn't have been more satisfied with our decision. It was an amazing time and ended up being the highlight of our road trip!
