New York Jets Ticket Information

The Jets have fallen on tough times of late, but they have a rich history dating back to its founding in 1959. In 1965 the Jets started an era of success when quarterback Joe Namath made his debut, winning the American Football League's Rookie of the Year. In 1967, the Jets recorded their first winning season in team history. In 1969, the Jets continued their success and defeated the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III. After the Super Bowl, the Jets' franchise went into a slump, failing to make the playoffs again until the 1981 season, when they fell to the Buffalo Bills in the Wild-Card round of the playoffs. The Jets would end up making the playoffs four times in the 1980's. New York rose to prominence again in 1997 when Bill Parcells became the head coach, leading the Jets to their first winning season in nine years, then back to the playoffs in 1998. New York most recently made the playoffs in the 2009 and 2010 seasons, winning a combined four games over the two postseasons. The Jets have five retired five numbers, but have more players in their Ring of Honor. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for New York Jets football tickets.

2014 Jets Season Preview

With a rookie quarterback in Geno Smith under center, Jet's fans were unsure of their expectations for the 2013 season and though they missed out on the playoffs this year, going 8-8 was a reassuring start for upcoming seasons. New York Jets Rivals

A rivalry that dates back to 1960, these two teams have played each other over 100 times. With both these teams being in the AFC East, the importance of the games are dramatically higher and more intense and it occurs two times a season. It is not uncommon for the trash talk to pick up the week leading up to this matchup.

Jets vs. Dolphins

An almost even split in the win-loss record, this rivalry has been one of the NFL's best since they started competing against each other in the mid-1960's. When these two teams meet, records can be thrown out the window. No matter where the teams are in the standings, this contest has always been highly competitive and intense.

Jets vs. Giants

It is only natural for two teams that share the same stadium to have an intense rivalry. These two teams may not play each other on a yearly basis, but bragging rights in the city that they play is always up for grabs. With the legacy both teams have had in the NFL, this rivalry won't slow down anytime soon.

Jets in the Super Bowl, AFC Championship and NFL Playoffs

When the New York Jets defeated the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III and became the first AFL team to defeat an NFL team in the championship game, it changed the NFL landscape forever. Their victory helped create the NFL that is known today. The Jets have made the playoffs 10+ times since 1980 and went to back-to-back AFC Championship games in 2009 and 2010.

The New Meadowlands, a true home for Gang Green. To complete my journey to all 31 active NFL home stadiums, I have to be sure to visit the newly constructed venues when they open. With this in mind, I’ve scheduled two appearances to the New Meadowlands Stadium located in Eat Rutherford, New Jersey, so I can attend both a New York Jets and a New York Giants game there. Before the build of this behemoth monstrosity, both the Jets and Giants shared Giants Stadium, but it was hardly a home to Jets fans. With another team’s name on the building, it felt more like a rental unit that their team used from time to time. In an effort to combat this, designers of New Meadowlands Stadium took great care to develop a facility that could be transformed in appearance with the color scheme and logos of the home team. This is achieved through a variety of innovative solutions including flat screen video boards and towers, an impressive exterior stadium lighting scheme that can appear green in color for Jets home games and blue when the Giants take the field, and finally though louvered signage that can take on the Jets or Giants logos. The conversion truly creates an atmosphere that allows both Jets and Giants fans to lay claim to the facility on game day. I was in town for Monday Night Football and the atmosphere inside New Meadowlands Stadium was electric. Brett Favre was back in town on the heels of his recent controversy and Randy Moss made his first appearance in a Vikings uniform since leaving Minneapolis. A defensive struggle at first, the Jets took a tenuous 9-0 lead into the half. In the second half, Brett Favre and the Vikings stormed back with solid touchdown drives to challenge the Jets lead, but in the end after a costly Pick-6 by Favre, the New York Jets weathered the storm to post an impressive win over the Vikings. Excellent game, great tailgating, I look forward to my return trip. A great experience! We took a bus from NYC to the Meadowlands Stadium with ease. Although the stadium was smaller then we thought it is a beautiful stadium. I think the players coming onto the field was my favorite part for it was such a big production. Nice time had by all! January 4, 2011

1st time buyer I have purchashed tickets for various sporting events and concerts from various places/sites and was kind of uneasy ordering from a different site. But I can honestly say I have had the BEST experience with TICKETCITY. I purchased tickets approx. 1 hour ago for the Jets at Redskins game for this Sunday (today is Friday) and I had an email confirmation immediately confirming that my order was being processed and I would be notified again once the order had been confirmed. I received my order/cc charged confirmation 6 minutes later and 20 minutes after that I received another email stating my tickets had been shipped w/ a tracking number. I have never had such prompt service. This made the "uneasy" feeling of such a large purchase from a site I had never used before resolve and leave me excited for the game on Sunday. Thank you TICKETCITY for such great service, as well as amazing tickets at an amazing price! I will recommend this site and will use it again in the future. GO JETS!!! December 2, 2011
