Both Brees and Matt Ryan got over the 300-yard mark, but Ryan couldn’t find Tony Gonzalez on 4th down at the Saints 3 yard line with less than a minute to go.

Matt Bryant hit three field goals, including one from 55 yards, while Michael Turner chipped in 83 yards rushing on 12 carries. The Saints feel to 5-7, all but ending their chances at a playoff spot.
Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome (New Orleans, LA) Saints 31, Falcons 27 The Falcons took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, but a Chris Ivory 56-yard TD run helped the Saints get some momentum and eventually capitalized on a coverage mistake on Jimmy Graham to take the lead. Graham scored again in the second quarter, taking the lead again after giving it back on a Tony Gonzalez touchdown. The Falcons were inside the 2 twice in the fourth quarter but came up with only 3 points to show for it. The win took the Saints to 4-5 and handed the Falcons their first loss of the season at 8-1.
