2011 MINNESOTA VIKINGS PREVIEW:
The Minnesota Vikings will have a much different look this year than in 2010. Out is former head coach coach Brad Childress and gone is quarterback Brett Favre. The Vikings will be looking to turn a corner and make their way back to the playoffs with a new cast of talent.

Perhaps the biggest difference on this year's team is who will be under center. The Vikings picked up longtime Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, who will provide much-needed veteran leadership. The offense is also lucky enough to have one of the premiere running backs in the NFL in Adrian Peterson, who is usually good for at least 100 yards. Percy Harvin emerged as a deep threat last season and should be reliable once again.

Defensively, the strength of the Vikings is their front seven. In addition to being among the most charismatic players in the league defensive end Jared Allen is one of the best pass rushers. He's joined by Kevin Williams at defensive tackle, who will be solid as well. The secondary has potential as well and will be led by veteran Antoine Winfield.

The Minnesota Vikings play football in the North Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) of the National Football League (NFL). The Vikings franchise dates back to 1961. The team would win one NFL Championship in 1969 before the creation of the Super Bowl. The 1970's would highlight the Viking's tough defense, known as the Purple People Eaters. Some of the Vikings greats include Chris Carter, Corey Stringer, and Fran Tarkenton. Minnesota has managed to be a postseason mainstay throughout much of its history, but has been in a rebuilding mode for the past few seasons. The team looks to have the tools necessary for a new era of success.

The Minnesota Vikings have played their home games in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota since 1982. The domed stadium holds a capacity crowd of more than 64,000 fans. The Metrodome is notoriously loud for Vikings games and provides fans with a wild experience they won't soon forget.
