2011 ST. LOUIS RAMS PREVIEW:
While they missed out on the playoffs last season, the St. Louis Rams were one of the most improved teams in the league. A year after finishing with the worst record in the NFL, rookie Sam Bradford guided the team back to respectability. With a year under his belt and an encouraging coach in Steve Spagnuolo, it would not shock anyone to see the Rams back in the playoffs.
Bradford won the Heisman Trophy as a sophomore at Oklahoma, and he certainly showed why last season. Most signs point toward him being just as good this season, and he has a wealth of talent surrounding him, most notably running back Steven Jackson, who is one of the best-rounded offensive weapons in the league. The Rams also added wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker, who will be a serious big play threat, to go along with premier possession receiver Danny Amendola.
While the offense may be stacked, the defense is not quite as lucky. However, they do have some talent up front, namely in defensive tackle Fred Robbins and second-year man George Selvie. Meanwhile, the secondary will be led by veteran Al Harris, who is entering his first year with the team.

The St. Louis Rams play football in the West Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Rams franchise was founded in Cleveland in 1936. The team would move to Los Angeles in 1946 after winning one NFL Championship in their last year in Ohio. The LA Rams would win another NFL Championship in 1951, and would be a playoff fixture in the '70s, led by Chuck Knox at coach and the defensive play of Jack Youngblood. Eric Dickerson provided the Rams with more success as their star running back during the '80s. The team hopes to reach that level of success again in the coming seasons.
