The Tennessee Titans
Originally known as the Houston Oilers, the Titans have called Tennessee home since 1997. However, the team has already established a reputation as one of the most competitive football clubs in the league.
Since relocating to Tennessee, the Titans have made one Super Bowl appearance for their 1999 season. Although the team failed to bring home the Vince Lombardi trophy, their skills on the field did not go unnoticed.
Tennessee has made 21 appearances in the postseason, their latest one taking place in 2008. The Titans have also won their division nine times. Today, they play in the AFC South alongside the Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans.
Throughout their history, the Titans have seen a number of former players enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including Warren Moon, Mike Munchak and Bruce Matthews. Today, Munchak is the head coach of the Titans.
Tennessee has also retired a series of numbers, including number 9, which belonged to the late Steve McNair. While playing with the team, McNair was awarded the honor of Co-MVP in 2003.
