The San Francisco 49ers have long been putting fans in the stands thanks to the bevy of talented players recruited to join the team. However, it's also assumed that the franchise's winning ways are a big part of why people continue to highly regard the organization as an integral part of the National Football League.

The 49ers, which originally debuted in 1946, have made 24 appearances in the postseason. In playoff games they have an overall record of 27-19, making them a dangerous team to play once the regular season comes to an end. San Francisco has made five appearances in the Super Bowl and won each of them, their latest triumph taking place 1994.

A number of notable players have made it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame after participating with the organization, including Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Steve Young. The 49ers have also retired a series of numbers, including 8, 80 and 16. Number 8 belonged to Young, who is considered to be one of the most successful quarterbacks in NFL history.

Today, the 49ers play alongside the Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West. Throughout the history of the franchise, San Francisco has won their division 18 times, most recently in 2011.

Disciplined Hard Nosed Team Looks like old Raiders Under Mike Singletary, the 49ers are a disciplined hard nosed team that will hit you in the mouth. That being said, they have all the parts to be an explosive offense with youthful exuberance and talent displayed most definitively by tight end Vernon Davis and second year wide receiver Michael Crabtree. The defense is better solid (what else would you expect from a Singletary team?) and allows the Niners to stay in just about every game. Add in the cooler San Francisco temperatures and a 49er game feels more like East Coast 1970s football, which is great for good 'ole football traditionalists. August 18, 2010

49ers vs. Arizona Ticket city made our day at the park awesome. We had a family reunion on the last game of the year and even thought neither team had any thing to play for it was a great time as the family was able to get all together. About time....... It takes the 49ers till the end of the season to pull it together?? Anyways.........I could not ask for better tickets !! We were to the right of the bench and could see everything !! It was amazing....I have never experienced anything like that at a game.
