Nashville Predators Ticket Information

As one of the newer NHL franchises, the Nashville Predators entered the league in 1998 as an expansion team. The organization went through the normal struggles for new franchises as they missed the postseason in the first five seasons. The Predators then went on a stretch of reaching the playoffs in 7 of the last 9 years. Nashville is still in search of their first division title along with their first conference championship and Stanley Cup title. The closest the organization came to a conference championship occurred in back-to-back seasons when they lost in the conference semifinals during the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 seasons. The Predators have been led by center David Legwand. Legwand has played his entire career with Nashville and he currently leads the organization in points, goals, and assists. 2014 Predators Season Preview

While the Predators missed the playoffs for only the second time in nine seasons, a lot of it was due to a plethora of injuries that Nashville hopes to avoid this season. They brought in new players as well, including Viktor Stalberg, Matt Cullen, Eric Nystrom and Bobby Butler. They also picked up Seth Jones with the fourth overall pick in the NHL draft, and think they have put together a team that can make a run at the Stanley Cup Finals in 2014. All eyes will be on Jones when he hits the ice as a promising 18-year old defender, and he’ll be hoping to prove he was worth the #1 overall pick.

The Predators host the defending-champion Blackhawks on December 17th before a key five-game home stand in January that includes games against the Sharks, Ducks, Senators, Wild and Flames. Another four-game road trip will be a test in January, starting against the Canucks on Jan. 23.

Nashville Predators Rivals

Predators vs. Red Wings

It seems like it isn’t hard for most teams to despise the Red Wings, and in this instance it came pretty naturally for the Predators. The Predators first ever postseason opponents was the Red Wings in 2004 and they faced off again in the postseason in 2008.

Nashville Predators in the Stanley Cup, Western Conference Championship, and NHL Playoffs

The Predators have visited the postseason seven times since their first year of existence in the 1998-1999 season. The first year Nashville made the playoffs was 2004 and then second in 2007, and while they couldn’t seem to get past the Sharks in the first few postseason tries, they finally broke through with a win over Anaheim in 2011.

Nashville Predators Event Guide

What time do gates open prior to a Predators game?

Doors open 1-hour before the puck drops at Bridgestone Arena.

Where are good places to eat before a Predators game?

Nashville is known for having unbelievable southern food. Of the many great places Arnold Country Kitchen and Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant are both close and worth checking out. For great barbeque try Jack’s Bar-B-Que or Rippy’s. If you are looking for something quick and easy near Bridgstone Arena, visit Riff’s Fine Street Food, or The Grilled Cheeserie. They are two of the best food trucks you will find. No Nashville food guide is complete without some places to see live music. Robert’s Western World, and Listening Room Café are both within a mile of the arena and won’t disappoint. Other great places are El Rey, The Southern Steak & Oyster, and Etch.

Where is the best place to park at Bridgestone Arena?

Parking at Bridgestone Arena is limited and we recommend getting to the area early or purchasing a parking pass. The most convenient parking option in the area is the garage on the southwest corner of Bridgestone Arena. Right across the street is another large parking garage that is also great place to look. The next closest parking option is a few blocks to the east of the arena at 3rd Avenue South and Demonbreun St. at the Pinnacle Garage. Another good option is at Cumberland Park just on the other side of Cumberland River.

Does my child need a ticket to go to a Predators game?

Children under 2 years old do not require a ticket to a Predators game and must sit on a parents lap for the duration of the game. It is best practice to bring proof of your child’s age with you to avoid any last second issues at the gate.

Predators/Redwings This was the second outing to see the Predators and Redwings play and second time purchasing tickets through Ticket City. The seats where great and ticket prices reasonable. Would recommend checking Ticket City for any event first. The game was great though the Predators lost this match. My friend is a Redwing fan he was happy. Will be watching for play off tickets. Preds/Flames Couldn't have asked for a better game. Kostitsyn scored his first NHL hat trick. Fans began throwing their hats on the ice customary to the feat. Bridgestone Arena is a fan and family friendly environment for Preds fans as well as the visitors. While home ice for the Preds can be a daunting place to play hockey it's a great place to see it! Excitement Every Minute I have been a Nashville Predators fan for about four years. Attending the games is always so much fun. From moment we walk in to the minute we leave, everyone there from the ticket takers, the vendors, the security, etc. are always so friendly and helpful. The fans are awesome, too. I have to say I have never found one single thing to complain about at a Preds game. I can't wait until my next visit! September 9, 2010
Preds Playoff Game vs Detroit I bought better tickets from a ticket broker than I could get from the Nashville Predators so I would recommend this process!! August 11, 2012
