Phoenix Coyotes 5 5 1 1
H-E-double hockey sticks of a good time Me and my best friend in college were soccer players and had NEVER been to a hockey game, EVER. We somehow got tickets to the game and decided to go a little late, since we had never been. We got to the game and the crowd was full of excitement with so much energy and the players were so intense, it was awesome! Especially if you like sports, the energy is incredible, and we had a blast, That says a lot for twi college girls. very affordable for college students or people with a budget. August 24, 2010

PHOENIX COYOTES
Originally the Winnipeg Jets, the Phoenix Coyotes moved to the desert in 1996 as the NHL's first foray into the state of Arizona. Over their short history, the Coyotes have managed to oversee the growth of a new generation of hockey fans and have given them plenty of excitement with seven playoff appearances.

The Coyotes have enjoyed the services of two Hall of Famers, Brett Hull and Mike Gartner. Their positive example set the stage for other budding stars like Teppo Numminen, Shane Doan and Ilya Bryzgalov, who would play an important role in the Coyotes' postseason aspirations.

The Coyotes' best year came in the 2009-10 season when the team posted a 50-25-7 record and the fourth seed in the playoffs. They were matched up against the perennial powerhouse, the Detroit Red Wings. After getting out to a 2-1 lead, the Red Wings forced the series to a seventh game where the Coyotes would finally run out of gas.

With an ownership group that includes Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky and a continually-growing fan base, it's only a matter of time before the Coyotes break through and enjoy sustained playoff success.
