San Jose Sharks Tickets

T he San Jose Sharks and head coach Todd McLellan are looking to build on a season that put them 2nd in the Pacific but one that ended in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Getting over that hump is the goal in 2013, and they hope the signing of center Adam Burish from Dallas will help. The Sharks also acquired negotiating rights with Brad Stuart from the Red Wings and signed the former Shark to a three year deal. The Sharks will look for the same type of production from Joe Thorton and Logan Couture that they got last season to help propel them to a top seed in the Western Conference.

Check out the Sharks at the HP Pavilion in 2013 and see why the Bay area is alive with hockey spirit.

The San Jose Sharks play hockey in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. The franchise was formed in 1991. After an Oakland team was fielded in 1967, but failed to succeed financially, many worked hard to bring hockey back to the Bay Area. The San Jose Sharks were one of the worst teams in the league for their first two seasons, a common theme for expansion teams. In 1993, however they managed one of the biggest turnarounds in NHL history, making it to the second round and beating Cup favorites, the Detroit Red Wings. The San Jose Sharks have improved nearly every year, reaching the conference finals in 2006. The current team is both one of the youngest and largest in average size in the NHL. The team is a favorite for a big playoff run.

The San Jose Sharks play home games the HP Pavilion, also known as the Shark Tank. The arena has a capacity of more than 17,000 and a home game this season will be electric with the hopes of the community for the team's first Stanley Cup. Buy San Jose Sharks tickets and watch one of the toughest teams in the NHL compete for playoff glory!
