Philadelphia Flyers Ticket Information

The Philadelphia Flyers have been one of the more successful NHL franchises since their inception in 1967. The Flyers dominated the 1970s through the 1980s evidenced by two Stanley Cup titles, six conference championships, and nine division titles during the two decades. It was also during this time, that the Flyers were nicknamed the “Broad Street Bullies” because of their intimidating and aggressive play. Philadelphia kindled a rivalry with the New York Rangers at the time that is still strong today. After dominating through the late 1980s, it wasn’t until the mid to late 1990s that the Flyers rose again to division supremacy. Philadelphia is still searching for their third Stanley Cup, but their bond to players who were a part of the championship teams like Bobby Clarke and Bill Barber is still strong today. 2014 Flyers Season Preview

The first few months of the 2013-2014 season were disastrous for the Flyers. It looked as if the team was going to finish at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division and miss the playoffs. But the Flyers rallied in the 2nd half of the season, finished 3rd in the Metropolitan Division and made the playoffs for the 6th time in 7 years. Philadelphia would take the eventual Eastern Conference Champion New York Rangers to 7 games in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

The Philadelphia Flyers look to continue this plucky attitude and push towards a Metropolitan Division championship, and a berth in the Eastern Conference finals in 2014-15. To achieve these goals, the Flyers will need exceptional play from Captain Claude Giroux. Giroux is one of the most prolific scores in the NHL and if he is hot, the Flyers are hard to beat. Philadelphia lost Scott Hartnell, who was one of the nucleus of the team a year ago, to the Columbus Blue Jackets, but added Michael Del Zotto, who could turn into a difference maker for the team. In a tough Metropolitan Division, the Flyers are real contenders to finish in one of the top three spots, and make another appearance in the NHL Playoffs.

Philadelphia Flyers Rivals

Flyers vs. Bruins

These teams just flat out don’t like each other and it’s no secret if you’ve been to a game recently. There have been punches thrown and blood spilled and in a sports world of highly-paid players and prima donnas, it’s good to see two teams play for the love of the game and the hatred of an opponent. The rivalry that started in the 70s is just as fierce today between Boston and Philadelphia.

Flyers vs. Penguins

Two teams in the “next six,” the Penguins and Flyers loathe each other and as the only two NHL teams in Pennsylvania, it was bound to happen. Pittsburgh and Philly have met each other three times in the last decade in the playoffs, only strengthening the rivalry recently.

Flyers vs. Rangers

One of the most storied rivalries in the NHL, the Flyers and Rangers have met each other over 10 times in the playoffs with Philly holding the slight edge thus far. Not a single series has gone seven games, which is surprising when you realize how close these teams are. Notable, the Flyers beat the Rangers in a shootout in the last game of the 2010 for the last spot in the playoffs.

Philadelphia Flyers in the Stanley Cup, Eastern Conference, and NHL Playoffs

40 years after Philadelphia saw its hockey team depart from town, the Flyers came back to Philly in 1967 to give the city the NHL team they so desperately desired. The Flyers didn’t disappoint, winning back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1974/1975. Winners of 8 Eastern Conference Championships and with 35 NHL playoff appearances, the Philadelphia Flyers have certainly made the city of “Brotherly Love” proud.

Philadelphia Flyers Event Guide

What time do gates open prior to a Flyers game?

Gates at Wells Fargo Center open 1-hour before game time.

Where are good places to eat before a Flyers game?

Philadelphia has quite a few great sports bars. Of the many great options we recommend O’Neal’s Pub, For Pete’s Sake Pub, and Cavanaugh’s Restaurant. No Philadelphia food guide is complete without a few cheesesteak places. We recommend trying Tony Luke’s, Jim’s Steaks, or Steaks on South. Chickie’s & Pete’s is within walking distance of Wells Fargo Center and is always packed with Philadelphia sports fans. Other great places are Percy Street Barbecue, Han Dynasty, Butcher and Singer, or Fork.

Where is the best place to park at Wells Fargo Center?

Parking at Wells Fargo Center is pretty straightforward. The arena is surrounded with parking lots and conveniently located next to Lincoln Financial Field, giving the area more parking options then necessary for fans entering Wells Fargo Center. The places closest to the arena are reserved for parking passes. The rest of the spots are cash only and range from $10 to $30.

Does my child need a ticket to go to a Flyers game?

If your child is older than 2 years old they will be required to have a ticket to enter Wells Fargo Center. Any child 2 years old or younger is allowed to sit on a guardians lap for the duration of the game. Don’t forget to bring proof of your child’s age to the gate with you to avoid any last minute hassles at the door.

flyers tickets Great service great seats thanks November 1, 2013
tickets and flyers were awesome! March 3, 2013
Great Venue The Wells Fargo Center is one of the better venues in professional hockey. Even upper deck seats (labeled 200 level, not to be confused with the club levels in most arenas) have great sight lines. I had the "all you can eat" tickets which includes all you can eat soda, popcorn, hot-dogs, ice cream, and nachos. While it saved a lot of money in the long run, only purchase those tickets if you are comfortable with that traditional stadium fare. Overall, a great visit! February 13, 2012
A fun time! I loved buying tickets from Ticket City. I found tickets for a low price and has a speedy delivery. There was a problem with my tickets and customer service was very helpful! The problem was solved in the next two hours that I was contacted. I would definitely reccomment ticket city to all my friends. The low prices, speedy deliveries and helpful customer service made me want to buy another pair of Flyers tickets to go again! The seats were very good for the price I paid. Can't wait to go again!
