Vancouver Canucks Tickets Information

The Vancouver Canucks have been a part of the NHL since 1970 and have become one of the better franchises in the league. The Canucks are still searching for their first Stanley Cup title, but they have won three conference championships to go along with 10 division titles. Vancouver has also won the Presidents’ Trophy twice, rewarded to the NHL team that finishes the regular season with the best record. Vancouver is currently on a streak of winning five consecutive division titles as they continue to build on their 40+ years of history. The Canucks have retired three numbers over their history with the recognition going to right wing Stan Smyl, right wing/center Trevor Linden, and left wing Markus Naslund. They announced that right wing Pavel Bure will be the fourth member to get his number retired this upcoming season. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for Vancouver Canucks hockey tickets.

2014 Canucks Season Preview

Last season was a forgettable one for Vancouver Canucks fans. The Canucks finished the year 36-35-11 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2007-2008. Head coach John Tortorella lasted only 1 season, and was fired, leaving the Canucks to search for a new head coach for the 2nd time in as many seasons.

Only a few years removed from a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals, the Vancouver Canucks still have a talented and experienced squad. The entrance of new head coach Willie Desjardins has the buzz around Vancouver positive and might provide the fresh outlook that last season’s Canucks desperately needed. Key players like Kevin Bieska with be mixed with newcomers Ryan Miller, Nick Bonino, and Linden Vey. Vancouver will have to replace top defenseman Jason Garrison, but added extra scoring ability in Radim Vrbata. The Western Conference is as good as it has been in a decade. The race for the playoffs will be tough for any team out west, but look for the Vancouver Canucks to be in the thick of the playoff hunt late in the season.

Vancouver Canucks Rivals

Canucks vs. Bruins

If you don’t know why this is at the top of the list for Canucks rivals, you definitely missed the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals. From Raffi Torres’s goal with 18 seconds left in game 1 for Vancouver to the absolutely stingy goalkeeping of Tim Thomas, this was a Stanley Cup for the ages. Add in some rioting in Vancouver after Game 7 and you have all the making of a good rivalry.

Canucks vs. Blackhawks

These two hockey titans met each other three times in a row recently in the playoffs, helping spark a rivalry that spills into the stands just as much is it hangs over every player’s head on the ice. The Canucks and Blackhawks continue to be two of the best teams in the conferences and with young talent on both sides, that won’t subside any time soon.

Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup, Western Conference Championship, and NHL Playoffs

The Canucks, despite having not won a Stanley Cup in franchise history, have still had their fair share of success. In their somewhat fresh NHL history (Expansion team in 1970), the Vancouver Canucks have managed to go 3-0 in their Western Conference Final appearances as well as reach the playoffs 26 times.

Vancouver Canucks Event Guide

What time do gates open prior to a Canucks game?

Doors typically open 1-hour before the puck drops.

Where are good places to eat before a Canucks game?

If you are looking for a higher end dining experience don’t miss checking out Chambar. It has a one of a kind atmosphere and a menu that will blow you away, but it does tend to be busy so don’t forget to make a reservation. If you get to Chambar and the wait is too long for your taste walk right next door to Café Medina as it is also a wonderful choice. For Italian food fans try Campagnolo. It is one of the best Italian places you will find anywhere. If you are looking to grab a burger or wings before the game with other Canucks fans try G Sports Bar & Grill or Yagger’s Downtown.

Where is the best place to park at Rogers Arena?

There are about 7,000 parking spaces within 15 minutes of Rogers Arena. The most convenient is underneath the arena and usually fills up very quickly. We recommend buying a parking pass with your ticket to guarantee yourself a spot. Other good parking is located directly south of the arena next to BC place stadium and south of Pacific Boulevard. There are also a few lots located to the west of the arena at Cambie Street and W Georgia Street. The Skytrain lets off only a block from the arena at the Stadium-Chinatown station. It is a great way to beat the traffic and not have to worry about parking.

Does my child need a ticket to go to a Canucks game?

Children over 36’ tall are required to have a ticket to enter Rogers Arena. If your child is shorter that 36’ they will be allowed to sit on a guardians lap for the duration of the game.

Detroit VS. Canucks November 6/2010 I ordered my tickets from TicketCity and they arrived less than 24 hours later to my door. The price was fantastic for FRONT ROW SEATS! We literally couldn't have gotten closer to the action! The game was a high pace, high scoring, and highly entertaining. I loved seeing players getting checked into the boards right in front of us. TicketCity is a very professional and fantastic place to order your tickets! November 8, 2010
2010-11 Season Preview Each of the last two NHL seasons saw the Vancouver Canucks tally 100 or more points en route to being crowned Northwest Division champions. However, the party ended in familiar fashion both times, with the Chicago Blackhawks playing the role of crasher in the conference semifinals and in effect derailing Vancouver's hopes for the franchise's first-ever Stanley Cup victory. Recipe for success this season will again hinge on brothers Henrik and Daniel Sedin (a combined 197 points last season), as well as another strong year from Olympic goaltending hero Roberto Luongo (40 wins, 2.57 GAA, .913 Save % in 09-10). The team also returns its top two goal-scorers, Alexandre Burrows and Mikael Samuelsson, and center Ryan Kesler's clutch contributions (12 power player goals, five game-winning tallies) cannot be understated. For the Canucks, a third straight division title won't come easy, as the Northwest produced four teams with winning records last season. Even last-place Edmonton is expected to be much-improved. Vancouver certainly has the talent to emerge atop the Northwest yet again, but can they get beyond the conference semis? Fans in British Columbia hope their team draws any playoff opponent not called Chicago in order to get over the hump. September 27, 2010
