Winnipeg Jets Tickets Information

The Winnipeg Jets have been in the NHL since 2011 after the Atlanta Thrashers relocated. The organization took the name of the franchise that played in Winnipeg for over 15 years in the NHL before moving to become the Phoenix Coyotes. The Jets have not made the playoffs in their first two seasons, but they improved to second place in their division after the 2012-2013 season. Left winger Andrew Ladd led the Jets in points in their second season after finishing with 46 points. Right winger Blake Wheeler finished second points after leading the team in points in the 2011-2012 season. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for Winnipeg Jets hockey tickets.

2015 Jets Season Preview

The Winnipeg Jets had some high points in the 2013 season. Most notably the Jets were one of the better scoring teams in the NHL. The Jets ranked in the top 15 in goals scored and are always a threat to put up high points totals.

Coming into the 2014 season the Jets goals are to try and improve a shaky defense and move up the standings in a very competitive NHL Central Division. For Winnipeg to improve on defense, they will look for a huge season long effort from new comer Julien Brouillette and Adam Pardy. But in reality, the Winnipeg Jets will continue to live and die with their scoring ability in 2014. Winger Evander Kane will need to recover from his down season and start to realize some of his massive potential. If the Jets can get a solid season from him, as well as Jacob Trouba, Mark Scheifele, and Blake Wheeler, they will have a good shot to improve on last season’s results.

Winnipeg Jets Rivals

Jets vs. Canucks

It’s a rivalry renewed by the new version of the Winnipeg Jets, and when the team moved back it looked like the fans hadn’t missed a beat when it came to the rivalry with the Canucks. Before 2012, the two clubs hadn’t faced each other since a 5-3 Canucks win in 1996, and those in Manitoba can’t wait to take on their old foes in B.C. once again.

Winnipeg Jets in the Stanley Cup, Western Conference Championship, and NHL Playoffs

Returning to Winnipeg after 15 year absence, the Jets will look to “get on the scoreboard” in terms of Stanley Cup Championships and Conference Championships. Despite the lack of wins in big games, the Winnipeg Jets have played in 11 NHL postseasons.

Winnipeg Jets Event Guide

What time do gates open prior to a Jets game?

Gates at MTS Centre open 90 minutes before the scheduled puck drop.

Where are good places to eat before a Jets game?

There are a few good sports bars in the area. D’Jay’s, and Pony Corral are two of the best. For great pub food, try Tapps. Tapps has a great atmosphere and is usually packed with Jets fans. If you are looking for a trendier place, try Elephant and Castle. E & C has a wide menu, great drink selections and is always a good time. For great Asian food try East India Company or Hu’s Asian Bistro. Other good places are Viva Restaurant, Hy’s Steakhous, and The Storm.

Where is the best place to park at MTS Centre?

There are plenty of good parking options at MTS Centre. The most convenient spots are located just south of the arena on the other side of Graham Ave. at Carlton and Hargrave. There is another large parking area on the east side of Smith Street and Graham Avenue. For a slightly longer walk try looking on York Ave. between Edmonton and Smith streets. There are numerous parking options in that area and still only about 10 minutes away from the arena.

Does my child need a ticket to go to a Jets game?

Children under the age of 2 years old will be allowed to enter MTS Centre without a ticket and must sit on a guardians lap for the duration of the game. We recommend bringing proof of your Child’s age with you to avoid any last minute hassles at the gate.
