The Winnipeg Jets have been in the NHL since 2011 after the Atlanta Thrashers relocated. The organization took the name of the franchise that played in Winnipeg for over 15 years in the NHL before moving to become the Phoenix Coyotes. The Jets have not made the playoffs in their first two seasons, but they improved to second place in their division after the 2012-2013 season. Left winger Andrew Ladd led the Jets in points in their second season after finishing with 46 points. Right winger Blake Wheeler finished second points after leading the team in points in the 2011-2012 season. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for Winnipeg Jets hockey tickets.
2015 Jets Season Preview
The Winnipeg Jets had some high points in the 2013 season. Most notably the Jets were one of the better scoring teams in the NHL. The Jets ranked in the top 15 in goals scored and are always a threat to put up high points totals.
Coming into the 2014 season the Jets goals are to try and improve a shaky defense and move up the standings in a very competitive NHL Central Division. For Winnipeg to improve on defense, they will look for a huge season long effort from new comer Julien Brouillette and Adam Pardy. But in reality, the Winnipeg Jets will continue to live and die with their scoring ability in 2014. Winger Evander Kane will need to recover from his down season and start to realize some of his massive potential. If the Jets can get a solid season from him, as well as Jacob Trouba, Mark Scheifele, and Blake Wheeler, they will have a good shot to improve on last season’s results.

Jets vs. Canucks
It’s a rivalry renewed by the new version of the Winnipeg Jets, and when the team moved back it looked like the fans hadn’t missed a beat when it came to the rivalry with the Canucks. Before 2012, the two clubs hadn’t faced each other since a 5-3 Canucks win in 1996, and those in Manitoba can’t wait to take on their old foes in B.C. once again.
Winnipeg Jets in the Stanley Cup, Western Conference Championship, and NHL Playoffs
Returning to Winnipeg after 15 year absence, the Jets will look to “get on the scoreboard” in terms of Stanley Cup Championships and Conference Championships. Despite the lack of wins in big games, the Winnipeg Jets have played in 11 NHL postseasons.
