Oklahoma City is bursting with things to do - from watching professional basketball to taking in an OU Sooners football game. There are concerts and theater shows. Not satisfied with the options in OKC, you can make the short drive to WinStar World Casino which hosts many of the top concerts in the state. Also a short drive up Interstate 44 is the Tatanka Music Fest, which is a popular country music festival each Summer.
Sports in Oklahoma City
The top two draws in OKC are the Thunder and the Sooners. While the Thunder are amazingly popular, college football remains a religion to many who inhabit the vast prairie lands. Oklahoma City is home to three major colleges, including the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City University and Oklahoma State University, creating avid local rivalries. Basketball and baseball are also prominent in the capital of the Sooner State, which is host to the annual NCAA Women's College World Series in softball. Those who share an interest in horses will be pleased to know that Oklahoma City is also privy to numerous shows and equine events. The Oklahoma Sooners and OSU Cowboys play in the Big 12.
