The Alamodome is a large multi-purpose facility that is located in the heart of San Antonio, Texas. The Dome is located just a couple of blocks from the famous San Antonio Riverwalk, and steps from one of San Antonio's premiere entertainment districts, Sunset Station. The Alamodome is the home of college football's exciting bowl game, the Alamobowl. It is also hosts the US Army All-American Bowl, which features high school football's top rated recruits. It is also a regular stop for the NCAA Tournament, and has hosted both Men's and Women's NCAA Final Four. And in the past it was the home to the San Antonio Spurs, and has hosted NFL games and training camps for the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. The Alamodome has also recently been the location for some top college football matchups, including games for Texas A&M University.
The Alamodome broke ground in 1990, and first opened its doors in 1993. The original purpose of the facility was to help lure an NFL franchise to San Antonio. But the construction of the Dome allows it to be a host for a variety of different events, from sports to concerts to trade shows. The capacity of the Alamodome for a football game can reach 72,000. And it can seat up close to 40,000 for the Final Four. There are three primary levels at the Alamodome: the lower-level, the Club-level and the upper-level. The Club-level is a small area, with only a few rows of seats, that is also where private suites are accessed. It is a desirable place to sit in the Alamodome because the views are nice, and there are nice amenities like waiter/waitress service and fewer patrons at the concession stands.
The Alamodome is a great facility to attend an event at because of its close proximity to downtown San Antonio. You can attend a game, and get a great meal on the Riverwalk all without ever getting into your car. That is why the Alamodome will continue to host great events like the Final Four, Notre Dame football and Dallas Cowboys training camp. So buy your Alamodome tickets today and get to an event at this truly unique venue in San Antonio, Texas!
Alamodome 1 1
A Sea Of Crimson And Blue I went to the NCAA Southwest Regional this year and it was an amazing experience. The arena was a sea of Crimson and Blue and it was nice to see so many like-minded Jayhawk fans in one place. The Alamodome is a great place to watch a college basketball tournament game. It was easy to get in, parking was a breeze, and the arena staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend attending any event here as I know you will have an amazing experience like I did.
