2014 Wimbledon Preview

The 2014 Wimbledon tennis tournament is taking place from June 23 to July 6 at the All England Club in London, England. All of the best tennis players in the world will be in the field of this prestigious tournament, and you can be sure you’ll see some of the most exciting tennis possible on this fast surface. It’s the only major tournament played on grass, and the excitement around every match is palpable.

The 127th edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place from June 24 to July 7, 2013. This was one of the most memorable Wimbledon tournaments for tennis fans, especially in the UK, as Andy Murray took the men’s singles crown. Murray is the first Brit to win the title since Fred Perry in 1936. Murray beat World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the final in straight sets. On the women’s side, Marion Bartoli beat Sabine Lisicki 6-1, 6-4 to capture her first major victory. In doubles, the Bryan brothers took the crown to complete the feat of holding all four major titles as well as an Olympic Gold Medal.
