The Lion King is one of the most famous productions in theatre history. The Lion King is an adaptation of the Disney animated film about a lion cub (Simba) who is trying to find his proper place in the lion kingdom. Tragedy occurs when Simba's father, King Mufasa, is killed and Simba is forced to leave his home. While away in the jungle Simba makes friends with Timon, a meerkat, and Pumbaa, a warthog. Together the three of them learn important life lessons, which eventually give Simba the courage to return to his home. When Simba returns to his home, he must fight his evil uncle Scar to reclaim the thrown that his father once occupied. Simba, and his friends, eventually overthrow Scar and the hyenas, and the whole lion pride celebrates.
