NCAA Wrestling Championships
The NCAA Wrestling Championships crowns the individual and team champions for 2024 in college wrestling. This is a hugely popular event as thousands of fans show up to cheer on their favorite wrestling teams, and wrestlers. Buying tickets for the Championship Session on Saturday night often list for more than $250 per ticket. Although there are also seats for the Thursday sessions (1 & 2) which are available to purchase for around $90 per ticket.
Fans can purchase All Sessions ticket which includes every match over the three days of the tournament. Or individual session tickets from Session 1 to Session 6 There are two sessions per day over the three days of the tournament (Thursday - Saturday). Individuals wrestlers compete in 10 weight classes in a double-elimination tournament, earning points toward team titles based on level and quality of victory.
The NCAA Wrestling Championships have been held for nearly a century since the first one back in 1928. Legendary college wrestlers have all made their mark on this tournament, including: Dan Gable, Cael Sanderson, and David Taylor. The great teams of college wrestling have showed up to earn their team championships, including: Iowa, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Penn State. The skills of each of those teams are sharpened during their regular-season matches and their post-season competitions like the Big Ten Wrestling Tournament and Big 12 Wrestling Tournament.
