Frank Erwin Center Tickets Information
The Frank Erwin Center is the on-campus event center for the University of Texas. The Erwin Center, as it is commonly called, is only a few blocks from UT's Royal-Memorial Stadium and the Texas State Capitol. Throughout the calendar year, the Erwin Center hosts many great events, including; concerts, comedy shows, and Texas Longhorn basketball games. The FEC is the permanent home for the University of Texas Men's and Women's basketball teams. It is also the host venue for the UIL Boys and Girls Texas State Basketball Tournament.
The Erwin Center was the brainchild of University of Texas Regent Frank C. Erwin. He was the driving force behind the expansion at UT that led to the Erwin Center being built. In 1980 the University rewarded those efforts by naming the building after him. The Frank Erwin Center has a capacity of just over 16,000 for events. It has two primary levels, an upper-level commonly referred to as the Mezzanine and the lower-level or Arena-level; and floor seating for concerts. The Erwin Center also has two dozen luxury suites that sit just above the Arena-level seats. The first 15 rows of the Arena-level seats are commonly referred to as Red River Seating.
